EB-1B Distinguished Professor and Researcher
EB-1B is the "outstanding professor or researcher" category among the first priority categories of employment-based immigrants stipulated in the U.S. immigration law. Applicants must have an international reputation in a specific academic field and have at least three years of teaching or research experience in that field. Applicants do not need to go through the process of applying for a work permit. Instead, they need to be offered a job position by an employer and apply for it. Applicants must be tenured professors or researchers at a university or college or be expected to obtain tenure-track positions in the future.
Application Conditions
You cannot apply by yourself. A U.S. employer must file an application with the U.S. Immigration Service (USCIS), and the foreign national who applies is the beneficiary. To qualify for the "Outstanding Professor and Researcher" category, foreigners need to meet at least two of the following conditions:

Proof of receiving major achievement awards or outstanding awards for outstanding achievements

Join an academic organization, and the conditions for membership of the organization must be significant achievements and contributions.

Articles published in professional journals need to be translated into English and submitted. When submitting for review, the title, date, and the part written by the foreigner (if jointly published) must be included.

There must be a company in mainland China, the company must be in normal operation, generally registered for no less than two years, have a certain scale, and there are no industry restrictions.
